The following are some common myths about the Poison Center, which are not true:
- It takes a long time.
- They’ll report you.
- The same poison information is on the internet.
- It’s just for children.
- You have to pay.
- Childproof packaging is safe enough.
- It’s only for poisonings in the home.
These are all common myths about the Poison Center. The Missouri Poison Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long. All calls are free and confidential. We handle cases involving children or adults, both at home and on the go.
