What Happens If a Kid Eats Too Many Gummy Vitamins?
While it might lead to some digestive drama like an upset stomach or diarrhea, a one-time accidental overdose of most gummy vitamins is usually not dangerous. That said, it’s important to stop giving your child any more vitamins for the next week or two and monitor for symptoms.
If this happens, stay calm. Remove the vitamins, wipe their mouth, and offer a small snack and water to settle their stomach. However, if the vitamins contain iron or if you’re unsure about what they ate, call the Missouri Poison Center immediately at 1-800-222-1222. We’re available 24/7 and always free and confidential.
