2019 St. Louis Magazine Excellence in Nursing Award

Winner: Community Care/Ambulatory Care

Congratulations to Carolyn Odom, winner of the 2019 St. Louis Magazine Nursing in Excellence award.  She received her award at a ceremony on April 18th at Windows on Washington honoring over 60 finalists. 

Carolyn, is a nurse and Certified Specialist in Poison Information(CSPI) at the Missouri Poison Center, a program of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.  Carolyn has served in her role as Certified Specialist in Poison Information and continuously maintained this certification for more than 30 years.  This places her in an elite group of her peers on a national level with the American Association of Poison Control Centers. 

“Carolyn is compassionate and committed to excellence in all that she does for our callers to the poison hotline and her colleagues,” said Julie Weber, Director of the Missouri Poison Center. 

Winners will be formally announced in the May 2019 issue of St. Louis Magazine.
